Hungary Pavilion – Expo 2020

Designed by Lorinc Csernyus, a student of the famous Hungarian architect, Imre Makovecz, the pavilion will occupy a space of 1,828 sqm.

Hungary’s Pavilion in the mobility district will be in the Makovecz style. Using “dry technology”, the multiple-story construction with internal dome and outer casing will be built using no concrete, reinforced concrete, cement, or any technologies that require water.

Inside the pavilion, visitors will be able to learn about Hungary’s world-famous medicinal waters and tourist destinations related to its numerous thermal baths. The Hungarian Tourism Agency expects this to be an opportunity for Hungary to showcase its national heritage, culture, and treasures while also promoting tourism, economic development, and international relations.
